#APCARES is our dedicated approach to working with localised charities that contribute to the people and the planet. #APCARES is rolled out across all of our companies, with them each taking a couple of smaller local charities to support, whilst also supporting our group organisations that work toward impacting world and countrywide issues.
Green Sod Ireland is a Land Trust that Protects Land and its Biodiversity.
Green Sod Ireland is devoted to ensuring the preservation of natural areas, providing us with a chance to marvel at our world and its countless creatures. By engaging local communities in their endeavours, they spread understanding about how looking after land and biodiversity can bring health benefits as well as social, economic and environmental improvements for people now and generations still to come- along with materials such as animals, plants, soils, rocks and microorganisms impacted by this effort.
Rewilding is the large-scale restoration of ecosystems to the point where nature can take care of itself. It seeks to reinstate natural processes and, where appropriate and when the time is right, reintroduce missing species – allowing them to shape the landscape and its habitats.
Rewilding offers hope and the opportunity to give nature (and us) a fighting chance – bringing it back to life, saving wildlife, tackling climate breakdown, and benefiting people and communities. It’s about moving from nature protection to recovery and restoration.

Each year, we choose projects that will change the lives of local people who could benefit from some help. Under the caring eye of Lesley Cooper, our head of fundraising, everyone in the business works together to meet our donation targets.
With years of experience in the charity and not-for-profit sector, we’ve come to appreciate the crucial role these organisations play in our community.
Birmingham LGBT
This charity aims to raise awareness of the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) people in Birmingham and beyond. They inspire our communities by enabling all members to grow and achieve their full potential.
Suited For Success
This Birmingham-based charity encourages professional men and women to donate good quality, ‘gently worn’ suits and professional workwear for distribution to unemployed people going for job interviews.
The Haven
This not-for-profit organisation based in Wolverhampton supports women and children who have been subjected to domestic abuse and homelessness. They aim to provide safe, high-quality support in an environment of dignity and respect.
The Buddy Bag Foundation
This registered charity was set up in 2015 in Sutton Coldfield but provides Buddy Bags to refugees all over the UK in response to the rising number of children who enter emergency care after fleeing violent situations at home.A Buddy Bag is a backpack that contains essential items for children in emergency care to help restore a sense of comfort and love.
Birmingham Food Bank
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to go hungry. The Birmingham Food Bank provides three days worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food to local people in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of food banks supported by The Trussell Trust to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
