Having Jett on a work experience placement made us think about work experience offerings and the lack of them in and around Birmingham and the insurance industry. Jo Andrews, co-owner of Hettle Andrews heard about a scheme that was recently launched on 15th September 2009 called Work Inspiration. Sir Stuart Rose (think Marks and Spencers) the Chairman of Business in the Community (BITC), launched a national call to action to improve work experience for young people. The goal is to improve work experience for the 500,000 students across the UK that will be entering placements in June 2010. We feel that by joining this scheme we will help young people across Birmingham gain a proactive understanding of work life.
