our history

So where have we come from? Well, we were conceived and founded in 2003 at a time when the owners – Jon Hettle and Jo Andrews - could see the beginning of what was to be substantial consolidation in the sector. The strategy behind the creation was to create a new and distinctly different insurance broker - one which bucked the trend of operating from large departments and call centres to one where we could treat our clients as we ourselves would wish to be treated; as unique, not as one of a crowd; as demanding excellence not mediocrity; and of getting a good deal.

The Jon and Jo partnership saw them move from their respective senior positions in international insurance businesses to the point where they were growing a broking firm which now sits in the top 75 UK brokers. We are specialist in our approach, choosing sectors where we can develop in-depth, specialist knowledge and create only the best insurance programmes that leave no uncertainty. In 2007, Hettle Andrews & Associates Ltd was awarded chartered insurance broker status, a title awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute to recognise leading broking firms’ adherence to the highest standards of professional practice
